apt - Advanced Package Tool ( 어드밴스드 패키지 툴 )

APT 는 소프트웨어 패키지 매니지먼트 시스템이다. 일반적으로 몇가지 프론트엔드 프로그램들이 있다. aptitude,  X윈도우의 synaptic 과 같은 프로그램이다. apt-get 에는 몇가지 더 많은 옵션들이 있다.

apt-get  - APT 패키지 핸들링 유티리티 ( 커맨드 라인 인터페이스 )

apt-get 은 커맨드 라인 패키지 핸들링 툴이다. apt 라이브러릴 사용하는 백앤드 사용자 툴이다. 또한 몇 종류의 프론트앤드 패키지 관련 툴( dselet, aptitude, synaptic, gnome-apt, wajig) 이 존재 한다.

apt-get 은 다음과 같은 인자가 함께 사용되어야 한다.

update | upgrade | dselect-upgrade | dist-upgrade | install pkg... | remove pkg...  | purge pkg...  | source pkg...  | build-dep pkg...  | check | clea | autoclean | autoremove

update 인자에 대하여 알아 보자.

update

    update는  각각의 소스들로 부터 패키지 인덱스 파일을 재동기화 한다. 가능한 패키지의 인덱스는 "/etc/apt/sources.list" 파일로 부터 가져온다.
